Grillin’ & Chillin’ Weekend

This new event at Emberglow Outdoor Resort is for all of you that love to grill, smoke, BBQ, or cook over an open fire. It’s a great excuse for a guy’s weekend with nothing more to do than grill and hang out with your buds or make it a family weekend where you have permission to cook all day while the kids are happily occupied with the bounce pad, playground, other kids, and the creek. Spend time talking to other like-minded folks who enjoy standing in front of hot things making masterpieces as much as you do!

How to Participate:

• Book a lodging site at Emberglow for the weekend – Lodging, Primitive, and RV sites are available.
• Option 1: Cook – Bring your equipment and something to grill / smoke. Either cook at site or bring your stuff to the pavilion to throw down with the other grill masters.
• Option 2: Don’t cook – bring your appetite and your desire to learn more about grilling and smoking. Just tip the chefs for their hard work as you enjoy the fruits, well meats, of their labor.
• Sample the goods – At the end of the day Saturday, everything that was cooked throughout the day, by guests and our grill masters, will be put out to taste test. For some extra flair, Old Mule will be on site with samples of their marinades and dipping sauces to pair with your grilled  Grill masters eat for free and observers contribute to a tip jar to be split between the grill masters.

Weekend Highlights:

• Demonstrations – Demos of Grilling, Smoking, and BBQ will happen throughout the day at the pavilion – Aficionados of each form of grilling will give a short presentation about their craft, answer questions, and give pointers.
• Samples – Old Mule Marinade and Dipping sauces will be on-site Saturday offering samples of their many tasty products.
• Talk shop – talk to other folks who have the same hobby and learn from each other.
• Live music – A&A Acoustic performs in the pavilion Saturday evening.
